Pushpak Viman, Grand Ram Darbar to Recreate Treta Yuga at Ayodhya Deepotsav 2026

Ayodhya: The 10th edition of Ayodhya Deepotsav 2026 is set to offer devotees an immersive glimpse of the Treta Yuga, with grand installations depicting episodes from the Ramayana being prepared across the holy city. A 30-foot-long Pushpak Viman and an elaborate Ram Darbar at Ram Ki Paidi, along with a magnificent Ram Rath at Ram Katha Park, will be among the major attractions.

The Tourism Department is overseeing the preparations, with skilled artisans from Bengal and other states working round the clock to complete the installations. According to representatives of Moksh Advertising and Events Management Company, the Pushpak Viman will measure 30 feet in length, 12 feet in width and 16 feet in height. The Ram Darbar is being developed across a 30×20-foot area, with a height of approximately 20 feet. Both structures are being crafted using plywood and canvas materials.

The Pushpak Viman will recreate the legendary episode of Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana in Lanka. The Ram Darbar will depict Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman, offering devotees a glimpse of the divine setting associated with the epic.

Ramayana-Themed Boats on the Saryu

Adding to the spectacle, three boats designed around the Ramayana theme have been prepared for the Saryu river. Their illuminated presence on the water is expected to complement the celebrations, with reflections of lamps creating a festive atmosphere along the riverfront.

Grand Ram Rath at Ram Katha Park

A specially designed Ram Rath is also being constructed at Ram Katha Park. Measuring 16 feet in length, 12 feet in width and 15 feet in height, the installation will feature Lord Ram alongside Goddess Sita, Lakshman, Hanuman and other divine figures. Combining traditional and contemporary design elements, the chariot will present a comprehensive tableau based on the Ramayana.

Ayodhya to Glow with Lakhs of Diyas

During Deepotsav, ghats, temples and prominent roads across Ayodhya will be illuminated with lakhs of earthen lamps. Cultural programmes, Ramlila performances and devotional music will further enrich the celebrations.

The district administration and concerned departments are also making arrangements for security, traffic management, parking, drinking water and medical facilities to accommodate the expected influx of devotees.

The Tourism and Culture Departments’ preparations aim to enhance the festival’s cultural appeal while creating employment opportunities for local artisans. With elaborate installations, illuminated boats and traditional performances, the 10th Deepotsav is expected to strengthen Ayodhya’s identity as a major destination for religious and cultural tourism.
